i always make brown rice, but instead of water, use chicken broth.

I like to keep lots of frozen fruit and berries and fresh bananas around for making smoothies (with yogurt, honey, frozen fruit, banana), which happen to be great for when you don't feel well. It's nutritious, easy to digest, easy to make (you can even freeze bananas so you can always have them on hand) and things like bananas and honey are naturally soothing to upset stomachs. Yogurt can help put your system back in balance, and if you're gassy or bloated adding a dash of cinnamon can help. Best of all, it's delicious.
