Yes! It's ridiculous when everything else in the state is closed except CU and they expect us to get to school. Or they close school at 2pm when the snow is just starting to let up anyway.

No, we live in colorado, we should expect snow. Not wanting to go to school shouldn't warrant getting a free day. In the real world you have to go to work, even when its snowing.

Why would they "give" us snow days? no one is frcing you to go to class, in fact you are paying to go. If the roads are clear, and your professor can make it to class (who probably doesn't even live in Boulder) then you should be able to walk from around campus/the dorms to class.

Unfortunately, while we feel like we 'deserve' snow days, we will not get them.
The school generally wants to stay open

I don't think so. The weather here is honestly pretty fantastic, even when it's nasty. I grew up on the east coast (and spent my first two years of college there) where weather isn't quite as fickle but we get way more snow and lots of ice storms. If the weather is legitimately dangerous, it makes sense to cancel classes, but seeing as we're paying for classes I'd rather brave the elements (since I live close enough to walk without too much trouble) and get my money's worth - and my extra credit for showing up when no one else does! :)

i don't think so. i wouldn't want to have to pay so much money for college and just not ever go to class because of snow. it's colorado and snow is expected

No it doesn't matter because we'll have to make the days we take off up at the end of hte year
