I think that it is convient to use the rec center here. I usually just bring a change of clothes and go after my classes, or if i am able to wake up early enough go in the morning. I think that as a student you are paying the fees to use te rec center you might as well use it and not pay another membership at a different gym.

Use the rec center! You're paying a lot in fees and our rec center usually has enough space and equipment to be worthwhile. When it's crowded, you can always just throw your stuff in a locker and go for a run on the creek path (or bike out the creek path or up to Chautauqua and jog up there). Even when it's crowded, it's easy to get in a few reps of weights in 45 minutes between classes. Small locker rentals are cheap enough to keep a pair of gym shoes and clothes (and shower stuff if you'd like) in for the semester so you don't have to worry about hauling workout stuff with you every day. It's not worth paying extra fees to have access to a different rec center if you don't even use the one on campus, since you're on campus anyway. Just my thoughts! :)
