Maybe mine was just not "too big" but when I uploaded my picture I received a message informing me that my image would be autoformatted. I didn't have any problems. I assume that this is was we are talking about. If it is, then I would say yes. Alot of sites will just tell you that your file is too big and that you have to put in another one. This causes one to have to go into a program, such as paint and resize & resave the picture in a smaller file size. In the end this is not a big problem, because you can successfully add your picture, but it sure seems like a hassle when you are going through it. Long story short, yes they should, and as far as I can tell, they do.

No I think then the images would be too small so just crop them your self before uploading
