Question:
What does the university offer in terms of tutor services?
Answer(s):
I know I always see posters all around campus offering pretty cheap tutors.
The BOLD center has free tutoring services
If you live in the dorms there is often free tutoring. Also go to The Student Academic Services Center. Also try signing on this link: http://masala.colorado.edu/tutors/ but you have to do it on campus or remember to enable your CU VPN. You do have to pay for these tutors, but they are reccomendated by the university.
Good resources in the posts below. You might also try looking for an independent tutor through Craigslist or ads in campus buildings. It will likely cost you $15 and up, depending on the subject, but if you go through an agency they will charge even more (and they don't pay the tutor terribly well either). If you post an ad on craigslist saying what class you specifically need tutoring in and how much you're willing to pay, I bet you'd be able to find someone with good references who could tutor you for a reasonable price. But remember that the 'hourly price' has to be reasonable, to account for the time they put preparing to tutor you.
if you live in the dorms tutors are free
many tuutor services all over campus. Even on the hill there is a tutor service that guarantees you an B or higher.
you can talk to your advisors in your department for a list of tutors
the bold center offers free tutoring and if you are dorming then you get free tutoring though that
