Personally, I'd just avoid him or her. It's not like you have to be best friends with your RA, and you really don't have to do much that deals with them unless you get in trouble a lot.

At another school, I took a modern lit class and read "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead", by Tom Stoppard. It's a real great existentialist play about the two characters from Hamlet, and their side stories.
