Sportsmag is a great club for journalism students specializing in broadcast news or broadcast production. I am sure you could also contact the CU Independent for other ideas dealing more with writing rather than broadcasting.
The Annex has good church groups, activities, and meetings!
There are many outdoor tracks available to the public! There is one at Platt Middle School right off the intersection of Baseline Road and Cherryvale Road. Depending on the time of day, like if it is after school or during a gym class, the space may be limited, but usually the track is completely free to use! There is also a great track at Fairview High School, which is located right off of Broadway and Greenbriar in south Boulder. Most all of the middle and high schools have tracks available to the public, but the two I mentioned are in easily accessible locations and have beautiful views!
