I feel like sprouts is always best for produce, kings for everything else. both are relatively cheap compared to say, safeway.
craigslist! seriously, if you look for the right guys, there are a few that do a great job for super cheap due to no overhead costs. I had mine worked on by a guy named Josh, in his late 20's, but unfortunately I don't have his last name and I lost his number. He lives near Broadway & spruce though if that helps.
there are tons of gluten-free things at sprouts and sunflower market. probably not super cheap but no gluten-free things are. as for restaurants, most places have gluten-free menus if you ask.
there's a pretty awesome record store on east pearl, I don't know if they're actually still open but if so I would go in and ask to apply..
I got one a few years ago and from what I remember, it was less than $100 but cost me a day of attending an anti-alcohol class :/
