Are students at CU and Boulder in general more accepting towards Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender?

I think so, but there's still a sizable conservative/christian population with questionable views toward GLBTQ people. (I only lump those together as a generalization that the most outspoken anti-gay people fall into those categories). I think there's more support here because of a large liberal population, but it's not really the supportive population that makes the difference. No amount of ambivalent or fervent support can undo the damage done by the few ignoramuses who are outspoken against GLBTQ people and/or use physical or verbal violence against them.

Boulder is a pretty liberal city and university compared to many, and while there are many unaccepting people, I think it's safe to say that more people are okay with it than aren't okay with it
