Often that is where homeless people chill at the late hours of the night. So I would be mindful of them also.

not with crime. But getting into the creek at night unsupervised is not recommended.

yes there are a lot of jagged rocks that are hard enough to see in the day time, also the rapids are fairly strong

It all depends on how smart you are. First of all the homeless population IS NOT anymore dangerous than people who live in homes. That is a very bad stereotype, but they def are different. As far as the water goes its just ignorant to go swim at night unless you really know what youre doing

If you are a good swimmer, no. But most likely it is dangerous to be in a creek at night.
