Question:
How much money do students spend on books on average at CU throughout their school education?
Answer(s):
It really depends on the major. I'm a journalism major and I usually only spend about $200-$300 on books a semester but I have friends in engineering that spend upwards of $1000. So I would probably say between $1600 and $8000 dollars over the course of your college career. But that's all changing now because of the whole rental thing, and I actually get a lot of that money back selling them after a semester is over.
I've also only spent around $200 a semester, but I'm also in journalism, a lot of our readings are online. But my roommate that's a business student always spends around 800.
I've spent $300-400 so far during my first semester as an engineer. It depends your major and elective classes
they can spend up to hundreds of dollars for each semester.
Maybe about 500 a semester it depends on your major though english majors spend a lot for books
