Open Office vs. Microsoft Office? Pros and Cons, are you able to use either at university?

I tried open office and it is a good substitute but i was already used to microsoft office and i cant switch from them. Obviously the best pro is open office is free.

I'd say Microsoft Office, just because I've used it for so long, and I believe you can use them both at university. Go with the Microsoft Office, it's the classic!

i prefer microsoft office, it's just i grew up with and i'm used to its features

Well, price-wise you can't go wrong with open office, but I have to give usability to Microsoft office
