Question:
What is the better place to sell one's books back? The CU Bookstore or Shipping on the Hill?
Answer(s):
In my personal experience, the Bookstore gives more money back per book than shipping on the hill. But it all depends on their inventory and need.
Neither for me I get a lot more when i sell it back on amazon.
Shipping on the hill won't even buy several books. Try shopping around, and sell back to a combination of stores. Even CU's book store buys some at decent prices.
Just one thing to say : DO NOT GO TO SHIPPING ON THE HILL!!!!
That place is such a rip off it is incredible. Last year i go to them first to sell back books because i saw some bogus ad saying "WE PAY THE MOST!" After they offered me $4.75 for my environmental book that i paid $105 for, i sprinted out of there tooooo quick! The book store gladly gave me $65. Can you even believe the nerve of these people?
CU BOOKSTORE ALL THE WAY!
I've had way better luck at the book store, but for expensive books definitely shop around.
Actually, I decided to try and have them value a couple of the same books and see if they were different. The difference is miniscule. I would recommend that if you really want to get more money you try the internet. However, if it's convenience you want, try the CU Bookstore.
try the cu bookstore
Neither! Colorado Bookstore on the Hill is the best.
