Possibly... With the newer qualcomm dual band chips it could be done with still not having to produce multiple versions of the phone..

Yeah I feel like online they say they'll do it soon but then there are also a lot of random rumors online. If you really want an iPhone for Verizon I would just unlock the iPhone. My first iPhone was jailbroken and unlocked... It's super easy to do
