check out gassavers.org - they're a community of fuel economy enthusiasts, always looking for a new way to increase their MPG.
BIFF! The Boulder International Film Festival happens every year in mid-feb, there are also many local fests/features that happen regularly, you just need to keep an eye out for them. There's a summer film series through the county, and of course, don't forget CU's own International Film Series.
Do it yourself. Rent a wetvac from the supermarket, follow the instructions, and let your carpet dry for a day. shouldn't run you more than $20. Unless you have specialty rugs (oriental carpets, for example) or are cleaning an entire house's worth of carpets, or your landlord is going to pay for it, there's no reason (imo) to hire a cleaning service.
All self storage places are basically the same - box, lock, you throw your stuff in, done. Call around to check on prices - they tend to go up over the summer, especially in boulder proper. If you're really looking to save a few bucks, find a place that is out of town and won't be gauging the undergrads for local business.
"Can" and "am I allowed to" are very different questions. A real live pine tree is probably both a fire hazard and an insurance liability (not to mention a giant mess, and a pain to haul out to the garbage).
I'd say get a fake tree, but I'm sure the chemicals released in production violate Boulder's carbon emission laws.
Are the dorm ceiling even tall enough for an xmas tree?

CU has a portal called Identity Manager, https://cuidm.colorado.edu , where you can manage all of your security info - password, display name, security questions, etc.
Boulder High does one every year, not sure what the dates are though.

There's really no reason to put your GPA on your resume unless you made honor role every semester, and it's actually worth bragging about. If not, just leave it off, and let the rest of your accomplishments/experience speak for themselves.
